Born on May 31, 1981, Yoon Mirae's stage name, Tasha, was a shortened form of her English name Natasha. Her real name is Natasha Shanta Reid. She now goes by the moniker, T.
Born half-Korea and half African American, she was often ridiculed for being so dark-skinned. Her father was a DJ, which is how she gained interest in music. She is now a well-respected member of the Hip Hop Crew, The Movement.
T first debuted in the Hip Hop group called Uptown. Then in 1999, she formed a duo group with Annie Lee called Tashannie. Her popularity started to grow because of this duo group.
A scandal involving drugs with Drunken Tiger led Uptown to break up in 2000 and T started preparations to go solo under the monikier T. She made her solo debut in 2001 Uptown eventually was proven innocent in the drug scandal and rebanded in 2006, but without Tasha. A year after Uptown's got back together, Tasha got married to Drunken Tiger's member, Tiger JK, and they have a son named Jordan.
She is currently promoting with husband Tiger JK and rapper Bizzy in a group called MFBTY, which stands for My Fans (are) Better Than Yours.
