Drunken Tiger was a hip hop duo formed in the early 1990s. Tiger JK and DJ Shine met in an underground hip hop festival in the United States. Tiger JK was already a famous underground rapper in LA and DJ Shine was a famous DJ in NY. They formed a group, Drunken Tiger, and released their album in 1999. Soon afterwards, they dominated the charts. Ever since then, they have been recognized as the leaders of the Korean hip hop. In 2000, Tiger JK was charged with usage of illegal drug and had to spend short time in prison. That did not stop their success though, because their next albums were also huge hits.
